Smart applications
Fioscope cameras are not only a powerful visual tool. Neural networks analyse the live stream and send the result to machinery and process control systems, so the furnace tells you when it is ready.
From pixels to a signal on the machine
Detect
A neural network trained on thousands of hours of furnace footage recognises scrap piles, flat bath, dross and leaks in the live picture.
Decide
The result is turned into a clear state: furnace ready for charging, bath flat, skimming shield aligned with the bath level, leak detected.
Trigger
The state is passed to the charging or skimming machine, the process control system or the operator's phone.

The furnace charges itself when it is ready
Scrap heap detection watches the pile melt down and hands the charging machine a green light. The door opens only when it is time to charge, and the heat stays in the furnace.
- Clear visual indication when the furnace is ready
- Automatic trigger for the charging machine
- Optimal melt rates and cycle times, shift after shift
